Manipur Sangai Festival 2017 marks the ten day mega Manipur tourism event. For the third year Globizs Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has been honoured by the Department of Tourism to handle ticketing for the mega event through a fair tender process. The event was for the first time held at three separate location in Imphal; Hafta Kangjeibung, Lamboikhongnangkhong and Khuman Lampak. Thus, covering the eastern, western and northern areas of Imphal.
Globizs web solutions provided ticketing and support to the festival. This allowed to easily tracked the headcounts at any of the three venues. It allowed the organisers of the event to easily and swiftly manage the crowd. A dedicated android app was developed o help visitors find places and details about the venues at the touch of a button. With the help of the app users can find the venue location on Google map. They can also find programme itinerary for the particular day. The best feature of the app is the feedback which users can send about the festival. During the days of the event the visitors were given a chance to participate in lucky draw. The result of which was announced on 13th of December. Prizes were distributed to the winners at the office of the company. There were 20 lucky winners chosen from all the people who gave a missed call to the number provided for the lucky draw participation.
The success of this year event far exceeded the past editions of the festival. Number of visitors superceded that of previous years bringing in large number of visitors from within and outside the state. The Manipur Sangai Festival 2017 was also organized at different locations not only in Imphal for the first time in Bishnupur District. It was organised to cater to the need of the ever increasing number of visitors.
